Designs for a Boden interview. I came up with a few classical contemporary florals for the brand, after a visit to the Columbian Road flower market one Sunday. Spring colours.

Circus

Circus

Basing an idea loosely around the theme of vintage circus, I came up with some designs for an interview I recently had. The element of humour within the naive imagery was something to play upon, as were the faded vintage colours and respectable circus animals. The intended designs were initially for home-ware design, but I envisage them working for respectable scarves and or fashion ideas as well.

Sketchbooks

A selection of pages from various different concertina sketchbooks. All hand drawn.

Another selection of screen printed designs. The prints were made using up to 5 layers, to create the different colourways, with embroidery detail added afterwards.

Work from my degree show, based on Hong Kong, these illustrations reflect the intensity of the city and the energy of the lights and the life which live in harmony among the billboards.
The latter is the original illustration, and also the winner of a scarf competition at
The scarf will be available to purchase soon.

'Freeform Floral'
Another collection within my final year's work at university. Again, based primarily on the sights and senses within Hong Kong, i juggled, dabbled, played with, and contrasted architectural structure within organic forms, alongside intense colour stories reflected behind the imagery in the forms of splats and coloured explosions. what you get is 'Freeform florals', a collection which tells you about a trip to the flower markets in Hong Kong. All designs are screen-printed.
